I’ve fallen in love with the wonderful island of Sylt from which I returned two weeks ago, my creative well filled to the brim with wonderful sights, impressions, colors, landscapes, seascapes and skies that left me speechless.
Sylt revealed itself to me in the best weather that I could have dreamed of for October, walking for miles around the island, wearing a t-shirt and shorts in the northernmost part of Germany…
What a treat!
This was MY week, booked weeks ago, just for myself, to recover from a really busy time at work – even over the summer. A week of walking and fasting and getting pampered – with no obligations and my work phone turned off and social media turned off as well. Breathing the sea air and allowing myself to feel whatever emotions came up. Haaaaahhh.
I’m sharing with you here some of my impressions of the island: the sun omnipresent, the sea air vivifying, the sound of the waves crashing on the Western-facing shores, tirelessly coming and going, sometimes gently, sometimes forcefully, always gracefully – nature’s raw beauty. I shot all of the photos in this post with my iPhone without using any filter.
